Police Action takes its name from a 1954 series published by the original Atlas Comics. This was Atlas Comics’ entry in the “gritty detective drama” genre. As such, it featured the standard array of hard-bitten detectives, corrupt officials, kidnappers, and organized criminals. A rather unexceptional series, it lasted just three issues, folding with the rest of the Atlas line.
