DC’s 1973 remake of Black Magic was a collection of classic Simon and Kirby stories from the 1950s. The nine issues of this series brought back such delightfully devilish tales as “Nasty Little Man” about a particularly nasty leprechaun; “The Angel of Death,” wherein a town believes itself hunted by a ghostly assassin (and the truth is much stranger!); and “The Courts of Sleep,” in which a heartless old man receives his well-deserved final reward.
