L.A. Phoenix

    (David G. Brown, 1994-1996)
™ and ©1994 David Glenn Brown

From the ashes of the Los Angeles riot arises a new kind of hero, the L.A. Phoenix!

Professor Damon Brown, working on a virtual-reality computer game, mistakenly becomes trapped inside his computer. But with the help of computer whiz Jamal Washington, Brown can leave the computer and become the super-hero L.A. Phoenix.

The L.A. Phoenix uses an arsenal of non-lethal weapons including high intensity strobe lights, low-energy lasers, sound waves, “metal-embritting” liquids, and antitraction substances.

He’ll need all the weapons at his disposal to face frightening menaces such as the vandalizing Tagger, who spreads messages of disrespect and hate, and the armed and dangerous Gang O War, with his thugs the Killer Clones, Yo, and Jazzmataz.

The L.A. Phoenix, and the reporter who covers his adventures, Hugh Wanna Noe, try to spread a message of peace, even while criminals like Gang O War try to convert young people into mindless clones.
