The strangers appeared to the residents of North Am as huge visions in the sky—almost like gods. When they made their physical form known they said they were humans from the future who had come back in time to rid the world of sickness and disease. Despite the skepticism of some, including North Am’s defender Magnus Robot Fighter, they were given the chance to set up a clinic in the city’s underworld and tend to the poor. They were also given a veritable army of robots to use as helpers in their mission.

For a while, it seemed the strangers were truly doing good works. Still, there were murmurs that the strangers were not what they seemed—and Magnus discovered robots that had been illegally programmed as combat units. Magnus’ worst fears were confirmed when Nexus showed up warning that the strangers were really dangerous escaped convicts. But by then, the damage may have already been done.
