In the early 60s with the success of the Dennis the Menace comic strip, comic book and TV show, it was inevitable that some more spin-off titles be introduced. This title appeared roughly around the same time as another one-shot Dennis the Menace and his Pal Joey. Almost a decade later a second issue appeared which helped launch the Dennis the Menace and his Friends series, which rotated Dennis with Joey, Margaret, Mr. Wilson and of course, Ruff.
