The Butcher

    (DC, 1990)
™ and ©1990 DC Comics, Inc.

John Butcher’s Indian totem is that of the hawk, and as he discovered on top of a butte in the desert, it is his fate to “rend” snakes. He makes his first responsibility in adulthood to “rend” the land-developers, who murdered his family in order to mine the mineral-rich desert. He’s an Indian warrior, trained not only in the mysticism of nature, but also in the arts of Ninja.

A well-executed mini-series, this title owes much to the writing of the talented Mike Baron.
