Breakneck Blvd. (Slave Labor)
(Slave Labor, 1995-1996)
™ and ©1995 Tim Markin
Life can be brutally short or endlessly painful on the streets especially when you don’t have a friggin’ clue like Frank Dunkard. Tagged with the moniker Urban Angst, poor Frank winds up in more trouble than he can handle. Ranging from heated arguments with his alcoholic mother to staring down a gun barrel, he raises the tension to almost unnerving levels in every situation. Writer-artist Timothy Markin pulls no punches using gruff language, sexual situations, and sharp social commentary while creating a realistic modern-day milieu. Frank uses the tough guy persona on the street but underneath he knows that some growing up is required. Listen up people! Frank’s getting an education at the School of Hard Knocks. Let’s see if he survives the semester.
