Magus

Magus is Simon Magus, a sorcerer mentioned in the New Testament. In this series, he is also the father of Lilith (star of another of Caliber’s line of Caliber Core comics). Lilith was the onetime companion of St. Germaine, but has since become his enemy. She also had once believed herself to be the original woman (predating Eve), but due to her recent reunification with her father, she has begun to learn the truth about herself.

Both Magus and Lilith are immortal, and Magus had spent much of his neverending life forming his own religion. His small group of followers was wiped out in the opening issue of this series, however, by Beelzebub, another immortal who is better known as the Lord of the Flies. It was he who granted Magus his immortality, but, in return, Magus had promised him the hand of Lilith, his daughter. As the series begins, Beelzebub has decided to use deadly means to collect his bride.
