Marvel Super Action (Magazine)

This 1976 one-shot was a remarkable collection of adventure stories. Its headliner was the Punisher, making his second black-and-white appearance (the first was in Marvel Preview #2). Here, the crime-obsessed ex-marine takes on the five criminals who long ago were responsible for killing his family. The story, appropriately enough, is entitled “Accounts Settled, Accounts Due.”

In addition to this hard-hitting action, we see the first appearance of Bobbi Morse, a SHIELD agent who secretly is also the super-heroine Mockingbird. After an appearance in Marvel Team-Up, Morse would go on to join the West Coast Avengers.

Last up is the second appearance of Dominic Fortune, a 1930s adventurer-for-hire created by Howard Chaykin.
