It seems Judge Dredd fans couldn’t get enough of their favorite law-enforcer. In October, 1990, Judge Dredd Megazine was launched. This full-sized comic magazine featured new Judge Dredd stories, as well as classic Dredd tales reprinted from 2000 A.D.

The backing stories in Judge Dredd Megazine were also quite respectable. These included Chopper: Earth, Wind & Fire, a story of the last survivor of a deadly skysurfing competition; Brit-Cit Babes, introducing readers to the vice squad Judges of former London; and Al’s Baby, a weird and funny tale of a mobster who became the world’s first male mommy.

The first edition of Judge Dredd Megazine was a monthly that ran twenty issues, concluding in May, 1992. It immediately started anew in a second volume published on a biweekly basis.
