The Omega Men

In the far-away Vegan system, the alien dictatorship called the Citadel has achieved near-complete domination. In doing so, the occupation forces rounded up one hundred of the worlds’ leaders—the Omega Men—and subjected them to “special” care.

But, led by Primus, a powerful psychic and former king, the Omega Men have escaped. Now they must travel from the remotest worlds of the Vegan system, sowing the seeds of freedom, and gathering a force of freedom fighters to win back their worlds.

In addition to its epic storyline, the Omega Men was famous for its introduction of the bloodthirsty character Lobo. First appearing in Omega Men #3, Lobo was featured in his first full story in Omega Men #10. Since then he has gone on to become one of DC’s favorite bad guys.
