Youngblood, the government-sponsored army of super-powered humans, requires a large budget so that it can continue to train young prospects. When that budget is cut by several million dollars, six Youngblood prospects are left without jobs. They decide to band together by forming their own super-group, “Bloodpool.” The team dedicates itself to the protection of innocents.

Bloodpool is comprised of Rubble, a gigantic rock creature not unlike Marvel’s The Thing; Seoul, an expert in the martial arts; Wylder; Fusion; Task; and Denver. The team is ultimately sponsored by a businessman known as Mr. Terry, who is thankful after Bloodpool saves his life.
