Around the peak of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles craze, it occurred to creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird: wouldn’t it be great to see other writers and artists take a stab at the Turtles? Thus was born this collection of short stories and serials, featuring creators like Mark Martin and Michael Dooney doing their versions of the pizza-eating cult heroes. True to the spirit of the original title, these generally lighthearted tales mix action, humor, and adventure in equal parts. In one typical tale, Toyoduh is interrupted from a shower by a bizarre-looking door-to-door con man. In another, the Turtles run afoul of an inventor who has pierced the barrier of time, and they suddenly find themselves fighting beasts from the dawn of civilization.

A treat for Turtles fans and an opportunity to imagine what if others had created Eastman and Laird’s heroes instead. Published in color by Mirage Publishing.
