After revealing the character’s previously untold early history in the controversial Wolverine: The Origin, The End peers into the future of Logan, Wolverine, the X-Men’s cigar-chomping, claw-slashing mutant. The spectre of death haunts Paul Jenkins’ script from the beginning as Logan is mourning the passing of a friend. Logan is old and dying himself, a once fierce warrior reduced to a gradually weakening hermit hiding in the woods. When he discovers that an old pal has died, he journeys through his decades of memories as he finally copes with his own mortality.
