Astronaut Buzz Aldrin is faced with solving a murder mystery on the moon while in another story, a group of fans are excited about meeting William Gaines at a comic convention so they take acid to enhance the experience. These are two of the more comprehensible strips in this book, which also contains the Adventures of Bat Boy, who is president of the United States and a visit to a hypnotist that takes the artist on a trip to her personal House of Shame.

This title is a truly eclectic collection of strips that have only one thing in common: they are all samples of comics published by Fantagraphics. This title was printed to take advantage of the Free Comic Book Day promotion in 2005 and features material from Fantagraphics’ diverse collection of contributors. The reader’s enjoyment of this book is entirely dependent on his ability to accept absurd characters and eccentric scenarios although there is enough variety here that anyone outside of a hard–core super–hero fan will something amusing.
