The New Adventures of Superboy (Canadian Edition)

    (DC, 1982)
™ and © DC Comics, Inc.

This series witnessed Superboy facing off against a slew of new and imaginative foes, as well as old arch-rival Lex Luthor. During the course of this series, Superboy got both new powers and new parents, as DC played fast and loose with the Kryptonian’s established continuity.

“Dial H for Hero,” a series that had several homes, ran as a bonus story in issues #28–49. Dial H for Hero featured friends, Christopher King and Victoria Grant, and later Nick Stevens, who become super-heroes by dialing H-E-R-O on hidden dials in their watches. Each time they became different heroes, such as Mr. Muscle, who has super-strength; Miss Hour-Glass, who can speed up or slow down time; and Napalm, who destroys virtually anything by turning into a firebomb.
