For good or ill, successful Hollywood stars can sometimes ride their acting gravy trains to efforts in other media. In Menace, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, wife of superstar actor Will Smith, introduces readers to a world with the violence of the ‘hood and the supernatural flavor of The Crow.

Menace is the leader of a group of three nasty and dangerous female mob enforcers. Together, they sell drugs, deliver “packages” and kill who their boss wants killed. When Menace is betrayed and retired (permanently) by her drug-lord boss, she is offered a chance to redeem herself by the mysterious Malick. She rises from the grave as Malice, the Dark Angel of Vengeance, sporting a nifty mask and a leather ninja costume. Could revenge possibly be on her list of things-to-do today?
