DC continues its reprint series of some of the most pivotal comics to ever be published.

April 1995 saw the release of the first Preacher comic. Definitely for mature readers, the book lasted through 66 regular issues and various related mini-series and specials. Examining God, faith, family and violence, this award-winning series introduces us from the beginning those continuing characters of Reverend Jesse Custard, his former girlfriend and gun-toting assassin Tulip, and everyone’s favorite Irish vampire Cassidy. The Saint of Killers and Genesis were also first seen in this landmark issue. Readers were given a glimpse of Heaven and some of the beings who dwell there as well.

A modern western with a message, Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon created a hard-hitting, thought provoking saga that was only made better with Glenn Fabry’s covers.
