Danger (Super)

Danger was a short-lived title reprinting or presenting unpublished crime and adventure stories from the 1940s and 1950s. The lead feature is Black Dwarf, a Shadow knockoff featuring a detective in disguise and his team of former crooks hunting down underworld figures that the law can’t touch. Also included are the Gay Desperado, a well-rendered western hero feature; Prehistoric Pete, a humor strip illustrated in the style of Basil Wolverton; a fantasy story called Nemo in Adventureland; and another slam-bang detective action strip called Lucky Coyne, apparently drawn by 1950s comic great L. B. Cole. This is an unusual anthology title of interest to collectors of obscure material from a neglected era of comics history.
