Cannon is an action-packed adventure series from comics legend Wally Wood. Wood drew many of the finest comics of the Golden Age, and had a long run on the various EC titles.

With the help of editor Bill Pierson, Wood’s 1960s Cannon strip was collected into this eight-issue mini-series for Eros Comics. In it John Cannon, the United States’ top secret agent, travels the globe to stop dictators, assassins, and other threats. In doing so, he is constantly plagued by a pair of female agents: Sue Stevens, a Russian agent trained in a fictional small town to fit in as the perfect American, and Madame Toy, a communist Chinese femme fatale. Both can’t seem to stop falling all over Cannon, even as they arrange to have him killed. They are just two of the beauties that seem to follow Cannon around without benefit of clothes—the occasional depiction of which leads to this series’ “adults only” rating.
