The Power
(Aircel, 1991)
™ and © 1991 Malibu Graphics
Five young women of various physical types and appearances have agreed to help a research scientist at a small university test a new type of stimulant. Just before the experiment, Professor Brewster accidentally zaps the vials with rays from his “particle flatuation excellerating matter stabilizer.” Aside from being a klutz, Brewster has a lot of well-founded self-doubt. When the stimulant produces no discernible effect, his reaction is a petulant, disparaging tantrum.
But only a short time later, the women begin to develop powers ranging from flight, strength and agility to uncontrollable sex appeal, and it is obvious that his childish conclusion was premature.
This humorous book from artist, Dave Cooper, (Mutant Zone), with writing assistance from Barry Blair, (Leather and Lace), attempts eroticism, but the cartoony, exaggerated art borders on the grotesque.
