Ninja High School Perfect Memory

This huge special was a look back at Ben Dunn’s anime-inspired creation “Ninja High School.” In anime, a “Perfect Memory” is a scrapbook of the show’s plots, character sketches, and comments by the creators. In 1990, Dunn asked Alan Nepomuceno to create just such a scrapbook for fans of Ninja High School. The result is a wonderful source book recapping the plots of the first nineteen issues, a rundown of each of the character’s roles in the story, a preview of upcoming events, and more. The sourcebook proved so popular that the 1990 edition was reprinted, along with new material and fan art, in 1996 as “issue #2” (although the cover belies that designation, referring to it as issue #1).
