Detectives, Inc.: A Terror of Dying Dreams

    (Eclipse, 1987, 1990)
™ and © Don McGregor and Gene Colan

Bob Rainier spends his long nights in strip clubs, attempting to cleanse the pain of his divorce with the pleasures of the flesh. Ted Denning is dealing with the hospitalization of his mother who is slowly losing her eyesight. Together they are private investigators each dealing with their own inner demons while trying to fend off the bill collectors.

When a woman named Deirdre Sevens offers them a job and a blank check, Rainier and Denning must discover the bizarre connection between an abusive husband, a multi-millionaire businessman, and a children’s charity. As the mystery slowly unfolds, these two private investigators must face thugs, guns, and straight razors as they attempt to solve the case. Just don’t call them private eyes.

This tale of detective fiction is written by Don McGregor (Black Panther, Killraven, Sabre) and illustrated by legendary artist Gene Colan (Hopalong Cassidy, Daredevil, Tomb of Dracula, Blade).
