In his great citadel built upon the shards of the Old Ones’ crystal palace, a warlord named Djun has joined with an unholy companion, the shape-changed Winnowill. For her part, Winnowill is exulting in her own evil, going so far as to pave new castle halls with the bodies of slaves, while she waits for opportunity to decipher the Scroll of Colors which Djun keeps under close wraps. If she succeeds in reading the scroll she will gain great power and will be able to foresee every move of the Wolfriders.

Meanwhile, Cutter and his Wolfriders prepare to mount an attack on the citadel to reclaim the shards and to stop Winnowill. Though it will cost them dearly, there seems no other choice. For Cutter, it’s the beginning of the end.

This fast-paced series continues a story begun in Elfquest: Hidden Years #14. It features a tight script by Elfquest creator Wendy Pini and striking art by Brandon McKinney.
