Crusty sea captain Moby Duck is an upstanding resident of Disney’s duckverse, though not as prominent as major characters like Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck and the three nephews. Moby Duck appeared as a supporting character in other duck adventures in the 60s before getting his own book in 1967. Here Moby and his wacky crew take on pirates, sea monsters and the usual assortment of bad-guys while finding buried treasure and getting lost on uncharted South Seas islands. The stories featured the tried-and-true Disney formula of well-plotted adventure, humor and endearing characters, executed with clean professionalism by anonymous hands.
