Jughead’s Folly
(Archie, 1957)
™ and © Archie Publications
Coming a full three years before the similarly formatted Jughead’s Fantasy, Jughead’s Folly was a one shot in which Archie’s pal Jughead imagines he’s Elvis Presley. Released at the height of the king of rock and roll’s fame, this odd curiosity is definitely worth picking up, but also quite difficult to find. In theis one-shot, Jughead has a successful singing and guitar-playing career, many successful hit records, and is constantly being chased by girls. Too bad there wasn’t a sequel issue made during the 70s, during Elvis’ “fat” period.
