Centuries in the future, Alan McGroth is king of a star-spanning empire. But now, in the “present,” the seemingly immortal warrior is the costumed vigilante known as The Dark. Having only recently woken from a coma, with his memory in tatters, Alan goes undercover, struggling to understand the mysteries of his past and the chaos of his current life. Unfortunately, while he worries about the police and phony government agents, he is unaware that the greatest threats to his continued existence may very well be his own son, and his time-traveling queen and best friend.

This series featured pencils by Mark Bright, and cover art by Bart Sears and George Perez.
