Even Matt Groening has commented that one of his inspirations for his long-running Simpsons series was Peter Bagge’s The Bradleys, a feature that originally appeared occasionally in issues of Neat Stuff and then became the inspiration of the long-running Hate. The Bradleys would probably never had never achieved the same success as The Simpsons had it been peddled to television because it would had to have been watered down too much. But if you were ever curious about what The Simpsons would be like without the FCC, take a look at this graphic novel repackaging.
