Big Mouth

Big Mouth spotlights the work of artist Pat Moriarity, in collaboration with some of the biggest names in the underground comics scene. The storytellers include underground icon R. Crumb (Mr. Natural, Artistic Comics), Roberta Gregory (Artistic Licentiousness), Jim Woodring (Jim), Colin Upton (Big Black Thing), and numerous others. All contribute surprisingly accessible work, illustrated by the talented Moriarity.

Moriarity hails from the Midwest, having graduated from Iowa State before moving to Minneapolis to work for graphic production house Fast Graphics. Fate intervened when Fantagraphics agreed to print one of his comic stories in their Graphic Story Monthly. This eventually led Moriarity to Seattle where he became Fantagraphics’ art director at the age of 29.
