Mr. and Mrs. J. Evil Scientist

Upon viewing the special features on The Flintstones DVDs, the discovery is made as to the origins of these characters, which are billed as being by Hanna-Barbera. There was never a J. Evil Scientist TV series, rather, the characters originated on episodes of Quick Draw McGraw and later morphed into The Gruesomes, who appeared on two separate episodes of The Flintstones. There was talk of a possible J. Evil Scientist TV series, but the concept never was completed. These comic book issues (as well as the Western Publishing rip-off The Little Monsters), can give readers a hint of what could have been.
