Frogman Comics

Frogman Comics featured one of the more innovative, not to say offbeat, premises for a comics series: underwater exploits through history. Issues featured several different stories centering on the theme of underwater adventurers, from wartime frogmen out to sink enemy ships, to treasure hunters in the Caribbean, to “pirate frogmen” of the 18th century in full period costume. The stories were generally action-oriented yarns of courage and daring, illustrated in workmanlike style, but occasionally graced by the pens of luminaries like Bernie Krigstein or Mort Meskin.
