Harris Comics celebrates Vampirella’s 25th anniversary, and also promotes the new, updated Pantha, with this reprint series that features stories from 1978 and 1979. Of course, since Vampi first appeared in 1969 the anniversary should have been in 1994, not 1997. Harris apparently feels late is better than never.

The two sexpots have hit the streets of Hollywood, where Pantha hopes to make it big in the movies. But since it’s Vampi’s book, she’s the one that gets all the roles, with Pantha ending up as her agent. In between film shoots, they mix it up with all sorts of weirdoes. They face everything from aging actresses out to steal their bodies, to mutated monsters and lovesick special-effects guys, to cannibalistic aliens looking for a snack.

The series features the black-and-white illustrations of legendary Vampirella artist Jose’ Gonzalez (the writers aren’t even acknowledged), and the covers are available in both “good girl” and “bad girl” editions.
