Charles Smith has spent all his life fighting for his dreams. When he learned that his brother’s plane had gone down in Viet Nam, Charles desperately held on to the hope that he would be found. When the military gave up searching, Charles slipped out of his parents’ Kentucky home and stowed away to Viet Nam to find his brother by himself.

Arriving in Viet Nam, he came into contact with a Doctor Nguyen. Nguyen was instrumental in helping Charles, having spent a year observing as Charles single-handedly searched the countryside for his brother. At last, word came telling where Charles’ brother was. The two were finally united…just as an air strike wiped out the village.

Charles’ brother died, and Charles lay in a coma for 18 years, all the while dreaming of being able to help set the world right. And when he awoke, he discovered he now possessed the power to do just that.
