Truckin’

    (Print Mint, 1972-1973)
™ and © 197x by George Metzger

Various things happen in this black-and-white title from the Print Mint. The sun rises and sets on a glorious landscape. Some hippies throw out some junk and acquire new junk. The seemingly unstoppable spread of “civilization” is explored. The history of airships is examined. Man’s inhumanity to man is discouraged. And, finally, the artist stops drawing to appreciate the great outdoors. It is somewhat typical of the early 1970s, but nonetheless relevant and intelligent.
