Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Worf Special

    (Malibu, 1995)
™ and ©1995 Paramount Pictures

Lt. Commander Worf’s never-ending conflict between two cultures and his honor are the focal points in this one-shot. The Klingon Empire and the Federation have dissolved their shaky alliance. Worf stands accused of sabotage when an explosion aboard a starbase results in extensive damage and numerous casualties. Since he is determined to prove his innocence at all costs, Worf investigates a nearby magnetic anomaly. Unfortunately, the story lacks character progression and emotional involvement. Quoting a famous author, “There’s no there there.” This is not a welcome addition to the Deep Space Nine universe. As a bonus tale, Dax decides to regain his honor and teach Worf a few lessons in the Old West.
