Shaken, not stirred.

Thanks to Hollywood and the phenomenon of Pop Culture, the chances are that almost anyone can tell you how Ian Fleming’s classic fictional spy James Bond likes his martinis. In addition to the novels and the movies that immortalized him, many of Bond’s adventures were published as serialized comic strips in Britain’s Daily Express.

This second collection of those strips features the title story (which involves a long–lost mentor of Bond’s, a stash of Nazi gold, and the beautiful femme fatale for which the story is named) as well as the less familiar The Hildebrand Rarity. Both are generously adapted by Jim Lawrence, who turned a 43–page short story into 27 weeks of serialized adventure, and artist Yaroslav Horak. Also included are an introduction by Maud Adams, who played Octopussy in the film, and a literary timeline and commentary by Paul Simpson.
