THUNDER Agents

Their name stands for The Higher United Nations Defense Enforcement Reserves—T.H.U.N.D.E.R. They are a group of super-heroes who are sent out to stop threats to world peace.

The T.H.U.N.D.E.R. agents include Lightning, a Flash clone with super-speed; Menthor, whose helmet gives him mentally-enhanced super-powers; NoMan, whose multiple android bodies house the consciousness of a dead scientist, and whose cape makes him invisible. They are led by Dynamo, a man who gains incredible strength and near-invulnerability whenever he twists a dial on the belt of his costume.

Although this series had a relatively brief run from 1967–1969, it is remembered fondly today, due to its classic Wally Wood/Steve Ditko/Gil Kane artwork, and its high-flying stories of adventure.
