The Bogie Man (Collection)
(DC, 1993)
™ and © DC Comics
He’s working the streets, trying to find the Fat Man, shaking down a stooge in a shady hotel, and anxious to get his hands on The Black Bird. He’s Bogie, Humphrey Bogart, and he’s as cool as they come, the sharpest private eye in the world. At least, in his mind he is, which would be fine if he weren’t institutionalized, a mental patient so engrossed in his elaborate fantasy that—upon his escape—he deals with everyone as if they were characters in old Bogart movies. This too becomes problematic, since often they’re innocent people who he imagines into criminals. Even worse, when he stumbles into a real crime, his illusions might get him killed.
This book collects both cult hit adventures, The Bogie Man and The Bogie Man: Chinatoon.
