In the 19th century, artists and romantic travelers yearned to see such wonders as the glorious palace of Alhambra, in Spain, among other delights. Regrettably, by the time the daring young artist Alexander Icaro makes these treks, most of the sights have fallen into ruin, inhabited by bums and ruffians. There is still plenty of mystery and adventure to be had, however, as the artist and his guide quickly discover. If they’re not careful, their first such adventure might be their last.

The fantastic adventures of Alexander Icaro are by Paco Roca and are rich with an air of wonder and fancy that befit the colorful subject matter.
