In “Manifest Destiny,” Marlowe returns to the sunken ship that brought him to Earth in order to continue his path of becoming a High Lord of the Kherubim. The Lord Emp is guided by the spirits of all the High Lords who have ever lived as he learns to put aside his physical form and touch the minds of every one without judging them.

In “Spartan,” Marlowe prepares to move his hero into a new body in order to fight Kenyan more effectively. The bad news is Marlowe’s “special project” can only take one memory from his old life with him.
