Jetta of the 21st Century

    (Standard, 1952-1953)

Virtually ignored when first published, Jetta is now considered a respected piece of work from longtime Betty and Veronica artist Dan DeCarlo, it’s basically described as Archie in outer space with the same “teen” type humor pushed into the future. Of course, this is a future of giant swirling hoops and flying cars, and other gadgets that have never come to pass, but it’s really the artwork here that is the major star, and not the science. The material was reprinted many years later in 2005, but in black and white.
