Felix the Cat Halloween Spectacular

    (Felix, 2004)
™ and © Felix

Felix the Cat has been around in one form or another since the 1920s. Toby, Harvey, and even Dell have tried to keep him around in comic book form since the 1950s, but in early twenty–first century, Felix enjoyed a revival in licensing and exposure that put his own name as publisher of his own comic book. The face and dancing body of Felix have appeared in a traveling musical in Japan, on slot machines, and no fewer than three television/movie deals were in the works in 2004.

In his Halloween Spectacular, Felix comes through to save the day battling android copies of himself, uncovering alien conspiracies, telling a slightly new version of Edgar Allen Poe’s The Raven, and spinning tales around the camp fire as a mysterious muck monster lumbers into view. There are many, many adds for Felix products throughout, but the most interesting is an internet address reminding readers to log on to felixthecat.com for even more fun.
