Todd McFarlane Presents: The Crow Magazine

This magazine from Todd McFarlane Productions reprints stories from the Image-published comic, The Crow, which retold James O’Barr’s phenomenally popular tale of grief and revenge. With muted colors gracing the art of Jamie Tolagson, coupled with Jon J. Muth’s descriptive prose, this title revisits the tragedy that befell Eric Draven and his fiancé. The brutality of the Crow’s vengeance is possibly exceeded only by The Spectre’s barbaric methods as written by Michael Fleisher in Adventure Comics.

Also included with the reprinted stories are text pieces embellished with somber color photographs. A history of the character and the tragic real-life circumstance that befell actor Brandon Lee during the production of the first movie and an interview with creator James O’Barr on the set of the most recent movie, “The Crow: Salvation” round out this slick magazine.
