Eden has a knack for manipulating probability and odds, so it’s not surprising she’s having a blast in Las Vegas. Her fellow Disciple, Psiren, has the ability to persuade men to do whatever she wants, so she fits in there, too. But they’re there on business: trying to find both a small–time crook named Eddy and the exceedingly precious artifact he has stolen from the evil Valetta Corporation. Together they might be the key to protecting both their leader, Mother, and the location of their secret group of mystics, Arcana, from being infiltrated by their foes. Already one of their number has been killed, and despite their powers, they might be next. That fear becomes all more real when they get a look at the horribly disfigured fiend who’s pursuing them….

This one-shot covers a lot of intriguing characters and complicated territory in a fairly short period, before finally wrapping it all up for a tension–filled conclusion.
