Years ago, in 1968, the military created a special combat unit composed primarily of super-powered mutants. The team, going up against threats too dangerous for regular soldiers, seemed unstoppable…until they were betrayed by one of their own! With two members dead, and their leader, Strike, going AWOL on a solitary quest for vengeance, the unit was disbanded and the project scrapped.

But now, a new group of young mutants have taken up the mantle of Strikeforce, led by Kirby, a survivor of the original team. But when tragedy once again claims a teammate, Strike is called back into action. But dare he lead this new, less-experienced team up against the one foe even the original group couldn’t beat?
