Little Archie

Although the series purports to tell the stories of America’s favorite teenager as a boy, Little Archie is in many ways more mature and absorbing than the adolescent series that spawned it. Thanks to the masterful drawing and scripting of its creator Bob Bolling (Archie & Friends, Betty), Little Archie offers a highly entertaining mix of humor and adventure. Throughout the series young Archie Andrews, his faithful dog Spotty, and the rest of the Riverdale gang encounter dangers ranging from irate teachers and school bullies to natural disasters and sinister criminals. The title enjoyed a long run as a monthly comic and giant-sized quarterly before ending in 1983. Many of the original stories were reprinted in several of the Archie Digest titles.
