David and Goliath

Let the record show this isn’t Davey and Goliath (clay animation boy and dog seek God) or Young Samson and Goliath (1967-68 Hanna-Barbera cartoon in which a boy and his dog/lion fought bad guys), this David & Goliath concerns a boy and his flying lion in 1930s New York.

Thanks to the art of Castellini, this looks like an adaptation of an unproduced Disney feature, though the story shows more of an Image sensibility. For instance, there’s blood and racism, David’s sister has heroic proportions, and the villain (naturally, a Nazi) is a mega-babe with a wicked mecha arm.
