Hanna-Barbera used their prehistoric hit, “The Flintstones,” (which bore a striking similarity to the television show, “The Honeymooners”), as a template to create this futuristic counterpart. George Jetson, Jane, his wife; their daughter, Judy; and his boy, Elroy; all made the leap from animation cells to the printed page in this comic adaptation from Harvey Comics.

This adaptation of this popular television show was a bit of a peculiarity from Harvey Comics. Harvey’s stable of characters (including Richie Rich and Casper The Friendly Ghost) was targeted at a younger demographic, but did compete on TV with rival cartoon producer Hanna-Barbera’s TV Jetsons.
