Vampire Girls, Poets of Blood: San Francisco

    (Angel, 1997)
™ and ©1997 Adam Post and Mort Castle

The beautiful, blood-sucking trio of Candace, Simone, and Alexandra are back in California. This time, they infiltrate a club whose members role-play a vampire society. Prey is plentiful, and the girls delight in pitting the rival factions against each other. Unfortunately, the human players also get a little bloodthirsty, and soon the body count is rising fast enough to attract unwanted attention.

What starts as an interesting, well-plotted storyline ends up rushed and confusing in the second issue of this two-parter. Scene changes are abrupt and seem out of sequence, and characters who were introduced in the opening pages of the first issue were never seen again. Apparently, the second issue was cut short to make room for previews of Dream Angel and Willow. The marketing ploy ruined what otherwise might have been an excellent story.

Like other Vampire Girls titles, these books are also available with nude covers.
