Readers familiar with E.C. Comics’ later output of horror and science fiction comics like Tales From the Crypt and Weird Science might be surprised to discover that they issued Biblical stories in their “Picture Stories” series. The Old Testament literally covers the creation of the Earth to the prophecies concerning the imminent arrival of a Messiah. What is similar with this book in comparison to later E.C. product is the quality and attention to detail. The series was serialized and then compiled into a single volume.
